This turntable on the layout is very nice scene, but apparently Alex reports that it is not quite working, and it is very hard to reach due to the deep scene.

Alex made the parts for the sawmill from plans found in the November 1961 Model Railroader magazine article, some of which were made out of brass. He states that constructing these details spanned about an 11 year period.
