Notes:

Wayne and his cousin Greg have been working on this layout since 2010, with a few friends helping during the early construction phase. This is Wayne's sixth layout. Wayne is an avid fan of the NYC, and a long-time NASG member.

The layout is a walk-in style and nicely finished, all cantilevered off of the walls, so there are no legs. The track is a folded double dog bone mainline with a reverse loop. There is also an upper level reverse loop with a wye to a stub passenger terminal. The layout has a stub staging yard, accessed through a wall, in the workshop behind the passenger terminal.

The layout features, three passing sidings, the Boulder Creek Engineering HotShot Trackside Speedometer (company closed in 2023), automatic block detection with operating signals, magnetic uncouplers for Kadee couplers (all equipment has Kadee couplers installed), reverse loops that automatically switch their polarity, and the mainline track is raised above yards and passing sidings just like the prototype.

This was an early drawing of the track plan of the layout.
