Bob was a real railroad conductor and engineer for several railroads, including the ATSF, IC, and CNR. Bob passed away in August 2020.

Bob was well-known for taking HO-scale Atlas turnouts, cutting the ties, and then re-gauging them for S-scale.

Several S-scale modelers helped Bob dispose of his custom-decorated models. Alan was able to acquire a set of A-B-B-A units (A and B units shown).

He also acquired one of Bob's GP9 models. Bob wrote an article for the NASG's Dispatch in the 1994 February issue (page 20) describing some of his equipment.
