The B&O portion models Grafton to Charleston. The peninsula is in the second room. Jeff was the NASG's Dispatch editor for 20 years.
Jeff's layout is still under construction in this 2014 photo, but his crew area is a fantastic example.
This is the scratchbuilt Winton Place Depot (B&O) for the coal mine town of Dixie on the Elk&Gauley branch portion.
Putt Trains Docksider in the background on the Elk & Gauley branch with the lower level being the town of Camden on the B&O.
Putt Trains Mogul with modified cab on the Elk & Gauley branch line. Mountain backdrops are HO from Scenic Express.
Shows an overhead view of the B&O town of Elk River Jct. The locomotive is an S-Helper Service 2-8-0, and the coaling tower is Lionel O-scale model, from when it came in kit form.
This and the next two photo show a modified Overland USRA 2-8-2 (B&O Q3) on an arch bridge over a tributary leading to the Elk River. The bridge is a modified HO-scale arch bridge.
American Models E-8 leads a special passenger extra along the Elk River.
B&O FA-2 with freight along the Elk River paralleling highway above. Again, the background scenes are HO-scale from Scenic Express. Note slightly modified Branford Diner, and Twin Whistle A&W rootbeer stand.
This is the town of Elk River Junction, which is a typical rural West Virginia town located on a hillside above the railroad and the Elk River. Note the brick streets. The buildings are Pine Canyon and DSL Shops.
