Notes:
Brooks and his brother Nelson built this layout during our junior high and high school years in the early 1960s. It was all American Flyer and primarily Plasticville structures and figures. Motor vehicles were from a variety of sources. Sidewalks lined all the roads and there were crosswalks at the intersections. The power poles were wired and there was snow on the mountain peak. Accessories included the AF coal loader, AF oil drum loader, mail pick-up, Sam the semaphore man, and the cow-on-track. Primary controls were located on a front corner and a second control panel was in the back corner for the yard operator. Two trains could run continuously on the main portion, while the switcher worked the yard.
These are scans of Polariod photos taken in the early 1960s.
