Notes:
Harry models "broad gauge" on his diorama. He stated that his inspiration came from the Lionel D63 window display of 1952 which had a tunnel that represented a city and an elevated moving highway.
The overall view of the diorama. The camp on the right is called Winton Woods. Note the two orange and the one green clips on the bar at the top of the diorama. Any guesses what they are?... They're bicycle handlebar lights! Talking about a creative way to light-up the diorama!
Harry is very creative in the use of every-day items for his layout. For example, the bushes lining the road to the Union Station are made from spray bottle nozzles. The trolley line in the back leads to the Dixie traction terminal.
Lunken airport uses thumbtacks for the landing lights of the airstrip.
There's more to this diorama than first meets the eye. There are the station tracks behind the Union Station, and the Mt. Adams incline can be found the left.
