Notes:
The design of the layout is a main table that holds a number of oval tracks and a yard (shown in the first photo), and then a very long 3-foot extension around the room along the other three walls. The layout simulates operation of double-tracked mainline and several branches (ETT, Train Order/ABS). Second generation employee of territory simulated. Bruce has operated AF back to 1954. There are over 200 pieces of rolling stock all but one are A.C. Gilbert or Lionel. There are a total of 72 track switches on the layout, with only 5 of which that are controlled remotely.
Shown is the main double-tracked oval. Within that, in the foreground is the engine terminal, and in the distance is the passenger terminal.
The Track Gang at work. The car has an AF 740 frame and motor.
An unexpected stop, so the flag man got out and lit a fusee.
