The core of this kit is plexiglass, to which the modeler has to attach the brick sheet and the other parts. The model is based on the Chesapeake & Ohio's Alleghany Cabin (tower), which lies 29 miles west of Clifton Forge, VA.

The main photo is of Bill's model, which he detailed with a full interior, as well as enhanced the exterior of the model. Photo #2 shows the color plastic parts of the original kit, with the white styrene details that Bill added. To reduce the overall height of the model, he removed a portion of the concrete base of the kit, and removed a section near the middle, so the second floor wasn't as tall. Bill has since added tar paper roofing on the lean-to shed, and a lamp over the first floor's door. Photo #3 shows a photo of the cover of the kit's box.
