Notes:
This was the first S-scale truck to feature code 110 wheels (before the NASG standards were changed). This advancement by Barney Daehler was driven by the compatibility problems on 3-rail dual-gauge (narrow and standard) track with the old 1950s NMRA standards for track and wheels. The wheelbase is 5'6". These truck kits included beautifully-detailed lost-wax brass sideframes, a stamped-brass bolster, stamped-brass spring planks, and code 110 steel wheels. Brake shoes weren't provided, but the sideframes have brackets for mounting them; plastic brakes from San Juan Details (former Grandt Line On3) would be best for avoiding the risk of shorts. The model shown in the photo has the gentle patina of rust on the wheel treads after several decades, even after being kept in a dehumidified room.
