Note that in front of the set box is a figure of a man with a pry bar that was not mention in Greenberg's description in their Volume II book. Greenberg lists only 24 of the 25 figures in the set which was an oversight. Additionally in the 1953 catalog artwork (see second photo) for the set, it does not show the man with the pry bar either. In place of that figure, the 1953 artwork shows a flagman with a red flag.

The #778 was produced from 1953 through 1956 in two variations. The first variation, as shown in the photo, has one lamp post with a red fire alarm box, a second lamp post with a green mail box, and the third lamp post is plain. The second variation has two lamp posts with red fire alarm box and one lamp post with a green mailbox. Beginning in 1957 the catalog number was changed to #23778, which had one variation that came in a red and white box that was identical to the variation as shown in the photo.
