The #752 Seaboard Coaler was produced from 1946 through 1950 in two variations. The more common variation has a green-painted sheet metal base with a smooth finished base and roofs are dark red bakelite. The second variation, shown in the photos, also has a green-painted sheet metal base however it has a crackle finish as can be seen in the close-up photo of the base (Photo #3). This particular unit in the photo is a 1946 production unit as can be verified by the 1946 American Flyer Accessory decal. The chute on the back side is more readily visible in Photo #2.
