Notes:
These undecorated models were released by the original S Scale America company. They came with 33" wheels, and included instructions on how to use 36" wheels, if the modeler so chose. The company sold them individually and in three-packs. Bill Lane reports that they are a challenge to build. When Des Plaines Hobbies bought the company out, they released fully decorated versions of this car in 2004. Like the prototype, these cars need a large radius curve. The original product number "300" became the base for the Des Plaines Hobbies version of their "3000" numbers.
