Notes:
This car was one of the 1986 NASG's Special Projects cars. It represents an insulated, low-pressure tank car. Insulated cars have a slightly larger diameter and inset ends to cover the insulation. This particular car was used to transport various tar, molasses, corn syrup, heavy oils, etc. Lines ran through the insulation to heat up the content so that it would flow into and out of the tank. The models included the safety platform around the dome, and had the AB brake system installed. They were available with either scale coil-sprung T-section Bettendorf trucks, or AF-compatible Ace sprung-Bettendorf trucks with hi-rail wheels.

This car was one of the 1986 NASG's Special Projects cars. It represents an insulated, high-pressure tank car. Insulated cars have a slightly larger diameter and inset ends to cover the insulation. The small dome is indicative of the high-pressure feature. This particular car was used to transport vinyl chloride, anhydrous ammonia, liquid propane, gasoline additives, etc.
