The model shown has been extensively detailed by Dick Karnes. The original door, with a window in line with the rest of the car windows and delineated simply by vertical scribe marks, was cut out and replaced with styrene doors of the correct configuration. All the roof vents are handmade, as are the working diaphragms. Hand grabs, strap steps, and end railings were added. Trucks are American Models Commonwealth with B.T.S. brass details. Couplers are San Juan Car Shops "Evolutions".
