The body parts were made out of electro-deposition of copper coated with solder. The roof and sides were a single wrapper that the modeler needed to fold. The roof (served as the base for the metal) and floor were made out of wood. White-metal details included the bolsters, vents, under-body details, and coupler pockets. Brass wire was included for the grab irons and handholds.
