Notes:

These came with the Nixon Model Co's sprung soft-metal truck kits and wheelsets. These cars were originally Midgage Models (1947), later taken over by Sylvania Models (1950), and then Branch Line Hobby Supply (1960), which used the "Branch Line Models" brand name.

The model shown has been extensively detailed by Dick Karnes. The original door, with a window in line with the rest of the car windows and delineated simply by vertical scribe marks, was cut out and replaced with styrene doors of the correct configuration. All the roof vents are handmade, as are the working diaphragms. Hand grabs, strap steps, and end railings were added. Trucks are American Models Commonwealth with B.T.S. brass details. Couplers are San Juan Car Shops "Evolutions".

Karl Johnson received this model second-hand, and it appears to have AF wheels under it even though it is the full length of the "scale" model.
