How to Disassemble

Notes:

John Griffin provides the following tip.

The roof is held on by tabs that are visible by flipping the car over.

If you are going to paint the car, be sure to take the roof off, as the windows are part of the roof. This eliminates a lot of masking.

These cars consist of an injection molding of two main parts. The roof includes the window glazing that fits down into the sides. The ends and floor is the other part that also offers the underbody details.

Title:

Improve Running of 6-wheel Trucks

Notes:

Dick Karnes' experience with the American Models' six-wheel trucks was that he has needed to deepen the center axle holes, as well as elongate them vertically. This was necessary to give them lateral movement, necessary to get them around curves without derailing, and to let the center wheelset float up and down over track irregularities. New production models should be OK, but older runs may need this work done to them.
