Model Notes:

Sold as a set of 10 less-than-carload containers based on the PRR HB4 (weatherproof, bulk dry goods) design. S-scale decals were manufactured by Mount Vernon Shops, and were available for these road names: PRR, NYC, DL&W, RDG, ERIE, and B&O. Containers were sold with a freight-car red. Most railroads painted these black. The hooks on the top corners on the model are very delicate and can easily break off.

Since Peter predominantly models the PRR, but the branch line he models also interchanged with the B&O, and to communicate the less-than-car-load concept, he painted four of the containers with Poly Scale "Steam Power Black" and applied B&O decals, and six containers were painted with Floquil "Oxide Red" and had the PRR decals applied.
