Ed Kirstatter placed 6 tractors on this S-Helper Service 53-foot flat car with proper bracing and tied to the stake pockets with magnet wire. He also glued them to the deck, just to be safe.

Here is an example of using seven Ertl Ford "N"-type tractors on an American Models 46' flat car lettered for the PRR, a class F30 car, to which Ed added some more details. The tractors were mounted cross ways to get maximum loading. He used wood cribbing at the wheels, and then tied them down to the stake pockets with fine magnet wire.
