This custom paint scheme of The Keweenaw Bay & River Raisin Railroad (a fictitious name) was River Raisin Models co-founder, Dan Navarre's first brass locomotive. It may have been the source of his company's name. Bill bought the engine from Dan, with the intent of stripping and repainting it (Dan approved).

Bill created a Chessie System version of the engine. The decals were made by Circus City Decals

Chuck Kemper runs his model on his layout.
