The kit consists of a wooden floor, two roof strips, two end blocks, and a spacer block. The metal sides, ends, roof, and roof walk are to be attached to the wooden core. Note that the kit-provided trucks were made out of contaminated zamac, which crumbles over time.

Ed added NE wire grab irons to replace staples supplied, as well as other parts. After super-detailing the underframe, Ed installed American Models trucks, and Kadee #808 couplers with blackened handles. The model was painted with Dupli-Color filler primed, another box car color. Decals still need to be applied.
