These came with plastic wheels that the modeler may wish to replace with metal ones. By shortening the ladders and removing the roofwalk, the modeler can make a more modern version of the car (when roofwalks were outlawed).To match the prototype, the model can be built with or without running boards and, correspondingly, with tall (8-rung) or short ladders.
