This car has an unusual silver roof. These came with plastic wheels that the modeler may wish to replace with metal ones. By shortening the ladders and removing the roofwalk, the modeler can make a more modern version of the car (when roofwalks were outlawed).

Ed replaced the plastic wheels with S-Helper Service metal ones, and installed Kadee #802 couplers.
