Notes:

The kit consists of a wooden floor, two roof strips, two end blocks, and a spacer block. The metal sides, ends, roof, and roof walk are to be attached to the wooden core. Note that the kit-provided trucks were made out of contaminated zamac, which crumbles over time. These have a different CB&Q slogan on each side.

Ed added a well-detailed under-frame with air brakes pipes, levers, and rods. He replaced the warped roofwalk with an etched-stainless steel one from SouthWind Models (#SWF10). The trucks are Rex Engineering with scale wheels. He also installed Kadee 802 couplers, and added cut-levers. Ed found that Scalecoat II #2002 Oxide Red is a very good match to the pre-painted sides.
