Notes:
These kits consisted of a wooden framework (for the floor, two roof strips, end blocks, and spacer blocks), over which the pre-painted/lettered stamped metal sides, ends, roof, and roof walk were to be applied. Ed's model shown in the photos shows the Burlington Route slogans on sides. He added a well-detailed under-frame with air brakes pipes, levers, and rods. He replaced the warped roofwalk with a stainless steel etched one from SouthWind Models (#SWF10). The trucks are Rex Engineering with scale wheels. He also installed Kadee 802 couplers, and added cut-levers. Ed found that Scalecoat II #2002 Oxide Red is a very good match to the pre-painted sides.
