Notes:
Ed got this model second-hand, and it was in very rough shape. It is to represent a Baltimore & Ohio class I-5 wooden cupola caboose for numbers C-1900 thru C-2199. The kit didn't come with instructions; just suggestions for how to paint it. Ed used Ed Sauers B&O caboose decal set to letter it. He used an article in the August 1955 Model Railroader magazine to aid the reconstruction. He added weight inside to make the car now weigh 6 ounces. He also added brass door knobs, gutters, marker lamps, and Northeastern Andrews trucks, after detailing the underframe with cast brass clevises for the AB brakes. He installed Kadee #802 couplers with plugs inside the centering springs to cut down on the slack action. Ed painted it with four Floquil colors. He numbered it for B&O C-1975 Class I-5 that he has a prototype photo of.
