A.F. Product Gallery: Circuit Breaker

Manufacturer:American Flyer
Manufacturer ID:11
Road Name:Circuit Breaker
Year Introduced:1946
The #11 Circuit Breaker was produced in 1946 only, in one variation. It was used in conjunction with early transformers that did not have a built-in circuit breaker. Ted believes that the #11 was not new in 1946 as he has found an example of the #11 "Safety First" Transformer Circuit Breaker illustrated in the 1941 American Flyer catalog. The breaker is rated for 25V 4A. The part measures 3-1/4" x 3-1/4" x 1-5/8" high, in a gray metal housing along with the red reset button a red jeweled indicating light.
