Category:Flat Cars
Road Name:Chicago & North Western

Year Introduced:1952
This car was produced from 1952 through 1954. The 1952 model was either made out of Bakelite (see main photo) or pressed wood (see Photo #2). All others were all plastic. In the main photo, note that a good amount of the paint has flaked off. Due to the Korean war shortages, Bakelite was used, but it didn't hold the paint very well over time. This car is one of only eight cars that came with knuckle couplers in 1952. Photo #3 is of a #928 that Holt painted and lettered for the NH. Photo #4 is of a #928 that Ted re-lettered for the SP&S.
