The #634 was produced from 1946 through 1949 and again in 1953 and has 13 variations. In 1946 nine variations had plastic bodies that were either white, light gray, or medium gray. The lamp housings on these nine variations are either black or yellow. Finally the handrails are either tall (13/16") or short (1/2"). In 1947 there were two variation produced; one has a plastic chassis, while the second has a die-cast metal chassis. In 1948, and also in 1949, only one variation was produced. The main difference between the 1948 and 1949 model is with the couplers as the 1948 model has brass weights on the link couplers while the 1949 model has blacked steel weights. Shown in the photo is an example of the 1946 model with a light gray chassis, yellow floodlight housing, and tall handrails. The unit in the rear is a 1948 model with a painted die-cast chassis yellow floodlight housing and short handrails.
